Position Overview
We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time Pest Control Technician position located on the road in the area around Fresno, TX. This position will report to our office in Houston, TX once per week. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment, and excels working at an individual level.
Compensation
$17.50 - $19.50 an hour

Responsibilities
- Running a daily route where you will be resolving customer pest concerns and issues
- Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order
- Keeping accurate records of treatments provided
- Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws
- Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs
- Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards and procedures
- Advise customers of potential problems
- Keep management informed of any problems encountered on service routes
- Maintain proper inventory of pesticides in usage
- Carry a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs
Qualifications
- This is an opportunity for a great career with no experience necessary; we will train you
- A US driver's license that has been valid for a minimum of 3 years is required
- A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years)
- A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires
Work Schedule
Work schedule includes every other Saturday. Please note that you will be assigned a route in your local area.

At each home or business you inspect for activity, identify the pest, and apply the right treatment inside, outside, and around the foundation. You set traps, treat entry points, and note conditions that invite pests back.
Customer communication runs through every stop. You explain what you found, what you did, and what the homeowner can do to help. Safety and documentation are constant. You follow label instructions, record products and amounts, and keep children and pets clear of fresh applications. Some visits are quick recurring services and others are involved, such as termite inspections, rodent exclusion, or crawl-space work. You finish by closing out each stop and confirming the next visit. Expect a lot of driving, physical inspection in tight and hot spaces, and the satisfaction of solving a problem that was stressing a customer out.

Becoming a Licensed Pest Control Technician in Texas
Pest control is licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
